Elan WaveFlex 78

I just picked up a pair of the 2013 models and am chomping at the bit to try them out. I usually ski on short Atomic Metron 10's but they can get a little scary at high speeds as they always want to turn.

Anyone able to share some experience with the Elan WaveFlex?

You should likely search, as the are plenty of Elan threads here and on the net.  http://www.epicski.com/t/101038/2012-elan-waveflex-82xti-and-waveflex-14

Don't have a 74, but I have the Waveflex 14, which is their 74mm ski, and it was my daily driver for a year, quite enjoyed it but a bit too noodly at high speeds for my liking. Now I just use it as my teaching ski when I'm working.

It'll be a night and day difference between your Metrons though.

I did search but didn't find much on the 78's. I agree it will be night and day compared to the Metrons. I used to ski on Head XP100's. That was an excellent groomed run ski. I'm thinking the Waveflex with be closer to that but obviously better in crud or power being wider from tip to tail.
