A question for the Stockli gang here

I know several of you are well versed in the current Stockli line and I need some opinions.....  Me advanced  technical skier 5'3" 150lbs... I've spent the last  10yrs. on the Laser Cross (160cm) (both waist widths) and the last 3 years on Volkl Kenja (163).  The Cross has become to stiff /heavy for me these days for my all day ski and the Kenja isn't damp enough on the firm/frozen.

I'm looking for my next ski and the Stockli SR Motion and SR88 look tempting and it's not likely I'll have an opportunity to demo before purchase.  Will the Motion be too soft for me (I still love the feel of performance) at my weight?  How much rocker is there?  I'm assuming the 166 in either ski is the right length.

Thanks as always....

I'm not exactly the Stockli crowd, but have owned a few, demoed some others. The old Cross became the SX, far as I know, so yeah, a stiff ski. I preferred the CX. IMO if you're a light eastern skier, something in the mid-high 80's seems kinda wide. I'd think you would thrive on the AX. But the SR Motion seems like a nice alternative; I really doubt it will be too soft. IME, modern SR's don't have a lot of early rise, but it's more than marketing rocker.

The AX looks awesome... I'm a southern mid atlantic skier and I deal so much with deep slush and sand the mid widths are becoming attractive.  Then again I still have the Kenja which is that width.  Thanks for the reply.

Another vote for the AX (formerly the AR); really covers both hard and soft snow well.  Not as wide as the Motion or 88 so not as floaty,  but I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun the AR/AX is in soft snow.
