you'll have to excuse Eagles Pix, he isn't up on the "latest research" of the "scientists". Because just last month it was reported that "scientists" found that the newest computer models, run on the fastest, most expensive boxes ever designed have now concluded that Global warming has doubled risk of harsh winters in EurasiaAs you can see, this was reported by the very respected and well-read Guardian newspaper.(lot's of very smart well-informed people get their "info" there)
Their article is basest on the latest, greatest PEER-REVIEWED article written by brilliant scientists in Nature Geoscience journal. Their article titled, Robust Arctic sea-ice influence on the frequent Eurasian cold winters in past decades explains how the recent cold winters in Europe are because of declining Arctic sea ice. So global warming has cause the arctic to warm and melt away and Europe to Freeze in recent years.
If you are confused, you just have to look at the first word of the journal article - ROBUST. Robust means we put all these numbers into the computers and we know with no doubt it's true. They are at least 97% sure! Don't question them, it's ROBUST! These fellas can hold their robust heads high.
But Eagles Pix isn't entirely wrong, because their current models which have predicted the recent cold winters, predict, although with uncertainty (last line of abstract), that future warming will eventually cause warm instead of cold European winters (probably when Arctic ice is all gone and polar bears (and penguins too!) are dead, then European winters will be warm "again", and then the Europeans will fly 8,000 miles to SLC to ski where it is not warm. Although I am not saying the "scientists" said anything about SLC, that was all Eagles Pix.
And we know with election results of a couple of days ago, the robustness is baked in. Because this problem isn't going to get fixed. You can count on continued near term cold then when most of us are old, warm Euro winters will finally come just like the scientists said.
On a personal note, I don't mind skiing with Europeans, as long as most of them stay on their side of the ridge, they are cruisers anyway.
