Ok so I can do a ski trip starting or ending on march 12 in Denver . The devils play the avalanche then and I want to go.

Where am I best likely to get snow around then ? I think the week before March 12 is better than the one after ? Is that too late where I am looking at rain too?

From best snow .net I see vail steamboat amd Breckinridge all have 15% chance of snow on any given day . Any opinions ? Decent nightlife wouldn't hurt either . Thanks guys. We will also have a car so we can do 3 days at one play 3 at another (we did that at revel stoke and lake Louis last year which was cool).

Have you checked plane fares?  Might be a consideration that's easier to predict.

Never say never, but rain would be a freak occurrence.

I would come the week after, as I believe the Texas en masse spring break is the week before.

I was thinking more that one week might have more spring break travel happening than the other.  I've been watching fares to Denver because my husband is going for a professional conference.  Since that involves 10,000 attendees who come from all over the world, the cheaper fares around the weekend of March 21-22 may disappear faster than usual.  Although that's later in the month so not an issue for you.

Earlier the better. Gotta do a couple of days in Aspen.

Since your also going to SLC you should get the MCP.

MCP = Mountain Collective Pass

http://mountaincollective.com

While they are still available, $399 covers 2 days at Alta/Snowbird, Aspen/Snowmass, and 5 other destinations in North America for one adult, non transferable.  Additional days are 50% off the day rate.  Can be worth it but pays to do the math for your particular situation.  Lots of options in Colorado.
