Epic as soap opera - Page 2

oh it's so nice to watch someone tickle the man in the bathtub

I, for one, appreciate your efforts in the ESA, nolo, and think you're grossly underpaid, and I'd beg to be in your class this year if it would help get me in it!

Or so he says when called up on the carpet for being a bore.
How ironic that the most boring purveyor of "facts" that are ill-disguised political opinion -- a COMPLETELY boring way to communincate -- would be talking about being a "bore."

I guess you speak from a position of expertise.

Have you ever removed that "Kick Me" sign that the football team pasted on your back in high school?

Hah! My friends here in Zootown would laugh at your horribly uncontrolled and inaccurate view of my life and friends (both in quantity and quality). I guess ivory-tower worship hasn't got you as happy as you like, so you have to blame it on me. So funny. So sad.

As to "libel and slander," my post was neither - it was opinion, which is fully protected under the 1st A.

Maybe I could offer my (lack of ranching knowledge/experience) to you and your husband? You seem eager to trade places with me being the lawyer.

Gonz,
Just a minor point but the Internet is not bound by the 1st A.

but as to two US residents, it would be

It is my opinion that some people are truly so whacked out that they don't realize how stupid they appear to others. It is also my opinion that the more they are heard, the more laughable they become.

OH. That's right. WE DON'T CARE!

And now, Gonzo as Burt Campbell......

BILLA,

SCSA is here.....merely lurking. I got an e-mail from him the other day that was vintage. He challenged me to some sort of mano a mano (sp?) ski-off at Vail next year. This came out of the clear blue. He was real wound up. It was all the traditional rant about HH, "the gang" I can't ski, he can ski. Lot's of love. I thought it best to not respond and hope he got a good nights sleep.

I really can't think of a better way to spend a day than dualing with SCSA all day at Vail. I managed to avoid the place all last year. He isn't exactly a strong reason to return. I love the guy to death....when he's lucid!

Alas, I still wish we could have him back here.

He WAS back today with a very lucid commentary thread about the Gathering, which somehow got deleted. :

Lately I've been tuning in to see who next will wind up Gonzo just to see him spin.

Yep, it may not make the people trying to act civil very happy, but the entertainment level has definitely had a rise over the last day or so. I think it has been just what we all needed during the summer doldrums.

...It is a little discouraging to see some people truly upset over things that most view as childish and petty. - - Que sera, sera!

Slander: a false report maliciously uttered and tending to injure the reputation of a person.

I may not have read the law, but I can read a dictionary. I'm not upset, merely using the word that seemed most appropriate.

Bonnie, thank you.
Nolo,
There you go again. Smitting the Gonz from your ivory tower using a dictionary. How academia of you. Have you no shame?
Mr. Crazie, yes, I loves ta wind up the Gonz. He's the dreidl of whackos.

I miss SCSA. I know you're out there. Hey dude. You may be gone, but never forgotten. How wierd is that?

And nolo....it's true. Beg, beg, beg..... :
Bonni,

No begging required. I would be honored to ski with you any day. :
Gonzo sneered:

["Yes, and I love to see how your "quests for knowledge" happen to coincide with expansion of $$$ income for the Epic Ski Academy.

Talk about ulterior motives!"]

And then claims it isn't aspersion??? This from the guy who whines about invasion of his livlihood??? This from the guy who suggests bumping off the president????

Rusty Guy,
Thanks for the update on SCSA. His stirring the pot made for some lively discussion. Fortunately we have Gonzo to carry on the tradition.
Too bad Dr. Go left the building he had some great posts!
Who else was good at stirring the pot that we haven’t heard from lately?

Sending threatening PMs to forum members is one of the very few, sure fire ways to get you banned.

I must be missing something. I've never sent you any PM's, and I would never threaten anyone.

Ya' gotta' admit, THAT would make for a good soap opera. BillA., one of the sweetest most gentle people on the forum actually having a "dark side".
Everyone has a "dark side".

I wish some people had a "light side".

If we were in a soap opera, I'd want to be like Claree in the chick flick Steel Magnolias. Buy a football team and walk around in the locker room after the game....

Of course, I'm really more like Ouisa. :

I hate to even continue in this vein, but y'know what gonzos posts sound like to me?

A cross between Jerry Seinfelds "Yadda yadda yadda", and Charlie Browns teachers incoherent garble.

I suppose she does have some entertainment value though.

Whatevah!
