I am looking for a ski that I can race slalom and giant slalom with, and I want to use them as my main skis. I don't have a lot of money so I'm limited to one pair of skis. I'm 5'9 and weigh about 135 pounds. I'm brand new to ski racing. Thanks!
what type of skis should I get? [new to racing]

Hi. Welcome to Epic. We've had some recent threads about this, so you might try a quick search. In all honesty, if you're just getting started, you might be best served by keeping whatever you have now and taking lessons. Low level racing is more about mechanics than skis.
If you honestly plan to ski both events, you must be planning to start Masters or club racing. NASTAR and beer leagues are typically a single course that's kind of a widely spaced SL. For actually competing on two courses, you can try running a cheater/hybrid of some kind, but it won't be very competitive in either event, and potentially dangerous. Slalom courses are tough enough to get through with a 13 m radius, and GS on a <20 radius is a knee injury waiting to happen.
