Armada JJ's Problem

Thread Starter

Demo'd Armada JJ 185cm skis last year in the powder and really like the skis.  Found them lively in the trees and steeps and a good powder ski.

Bought skis and put Solomon Guardian bindings on them.  Did not particularly like how they skied.  Question the demos had regular downhill atomic bindings.  Did putting the Guardian bindings on these skis change their performance characteristics ?

If it makes a difference:  Me  200lbs,  72yrs, somewhere between advanced and expert skier.

Very likely, large deadspot and much more play then a regular alpine binding would have.

Any chance the tune is way off, Pete?

Did you ski them in similar conditions or only resort?
Lots of cat/ heli ops use them, but they're way too soft to ski resort for me.
Have you skied Guardians before?

I took them back where I bought them and made sure the tune was the same as the demo's

No haven't skied the guardians before,  yes on similar conditions.  Only take my powder skis out when the snow get over 5 inches otherwise ski on my Blizzard Bonafides.
