Talked with the excavator friend of mine who relies on snow removal in the winter. Talked to the long-time, middle aged waiter at a local, empty restaurant I go to often. Walked into a local shop to buy ski socks (I must be one of the few people who've managed to wear out a pair this year) and saw a very full rack of skis that looked like pre-Xmas. The lone employee in this large shop seemed desperate to sell me a pair. We should keep in mind that while we're hurting from the lack of snow, people like that are HURTING.
Yeah, for those of us that live here, it does have serious knock-on consequences if it continues. Specialist (ski) shops is one thing but once it starts hitting the hardware store and the grocery store in the village as well it becomes much more critical
