Does your GoPro ever freeze up on you? I hiked to Granite Peak and skied a chute up there for the first time (previously I've always wussed out and stopped hiking at the shoulder)... only to discover later that the damn thing froze on me. Not that it wasn't just as fun without the video, but you know. I literally had to pull the battery out to get it to reset. Ugh.
GoPro Hero 3+ Black is the model I have and it's only freezed once but never when I was skiing. I found out recently that the battery starts to go after about a year so I bought a new one earlier this week and I"m turning the video capture off during runs where I used to just keep it on. I have to check the GoPro every once in awhile though to make sure it's angled correctly and there's no water on the lense (especially after a fall). I bring an extra battery with me now and swap out the first battery when the second gets low. But the water on the lense, angle and battery are the only issues I get. Other than that it's been amazing for me. Work has been chaos since I took Tuesday off so little delayed getting my video posted from Mt. Rose on Tuesday.
