ESPN ranks all 122 major league teams

Gotta kick out of the ESPN article ranking all the major league teams on a variety of indexes and then putting all the scores together into one overall ranking: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/teamrankings  Don't really follow basketball, but gotta give a 'YEP' to the T-wolves dead last ranking in the 'titles within a fan's life time' category!

The only way to truly determine the proper rankings of the first two teams would be for the Spurs and Ducks to play each other.

Maple Leafs last for Affordability?  No surprise there.  Costs a FORTUNE for a crappy team/product/performance.

Wanna know the really sad thing?  Everyone here KNOWS the Leafs are absurdly expensive and crappy......yet they still PAY for tickets quite willingly.

Often a fine line between dedication and stupidity, but this one's pretty clear.  Team owners have a licence to print money because the fans buy it; no incentive to do otherwise.

A home and home series would be the fairest way.

Would be willing to bet the Ducks play basketball better than the Spurs can skate.

I'd be interested to see how the new Arena and proposed Sports/Entertainment district helps my Red Wings ranking. It's a crying shame what has happened to that city. As an older teen, we would cross the border in cars or take the tunnel bus over to see concerts/Wing/Tigers. There were some good clubs and restaurants to be had to amp up the experience as adults.

As to earlier comments on the Leafs and ticket prices...I've never gone, family in Toronto have never gone...just can't justify the ridiculous pricing of an at best mediocre entertainment experience.

I'll tell you this… I'd tune in to watch Tim Duncan try and make it down the ice.
