Hey guys, I just updated the steamboat page with a ton of content.  Do you mind checking it out and letting me know your thoughts?

A link please?  Not sure what you updated.

Edit: never mind, I assume you are talking about the link in your signature.

Yes....  but here it is.  I pretty much overhauled the whole page. I added restaurant and activity info. More interested in of it has good content, useful info and links. What is missing.

I like the packing, weather, and restaurant info a lot.  The topics not covered that come to mind are 1) ski school info for parents who intend to have kids (pre-teen, teen) take lessons; and 2) good areas for Day 1 for intermediates from the flatlands who are planning their first ski trip to a big mountain.

Terrific. I am not a Steamboat regular, but after many times at the JO's, have come to know it reasonably well and you hit all the highlights I would have looked for.

@Finndog : did you have anything about night skiing?  That was a recent addition, correct?

Thanks all! I will add a couple things to the site. I forgot about tubing at howelson, bumper tubes at the ice rink and of course, ice skating.  Bowling too.

OK A bunch more content added as per your suggestions.  THANKS!

Nicely done Finn.  Just shot you a pm as well.

Two minor things...

1... Pioneer Ridge refers just to the terrain serviced by Pony Express, it's not the summit ridgeline you access from Morningside (that's just Mt Werner / radio towers/ gate d area).

2... There's no terrain expansion for night skiing this year. Same terrain as last year. Also now operating Thurs - Monday (same hours, however 2 more nights).

Cheers!

thanks tam, I didn't mean to write that; pony express access, I will go back and fix, I was editing and moving stuff around, sorry for the error.  I usually call that "the ridge" is that correct? its really not labeled anywhere. I know that's one of the areas off the front but its just what we have always called it.  If there is a proper name, please let me know.

Night skiing: dooooh, I read "expanded" and took that incorrectly.  I will slow down.....  ;)

As noted in his signature, Finndog is the EpicSki Ambassador for Steamboat.  An Ambassador is a volunteer who are is happy to answer questions about the resort.  For a complete list, look for the link at the top of the Resorts section.  The list also shows which resort has an Unofficial Guide.
