Whitefish, Sandpoint, Coeur D'Alene Season Pass Costs - Page 2

I rode the lift with a couple that had lived and ski bummed in Aspen for over 20 years and had recently relocated to Whitefish.  They were loving their reduced cost of living as well as all the area has to offer.

Thank you Rusty for putting this back on track.

One of my locker room buddies lived in Steamboat for decades until they thought it was too crowded. Apparently cashed in on some ranch and came here.

Rats, I missed the left turn this thread took. And just when I was going to comment about religion in the Flathead (Whitefish is located in Flathead county). Fresh Life church and it's alter-ego, Skull Church, are going great guns in NW Montana. If your personal values lie to to the left, you'll more likely find "your people" in Whitefish (vs. Kalispell, which leans heavily right). If you don't care, you'll probably just dismiss the pervasive Ten Commandment billboards as quirky. In any case, the snow is decent and the skiing cheap. If you don't have to rely on getting a job, chances are you'll find Whitefish very charming and relatively affordable, especially when compared to the Big City. :D
