price wise in Canada - the Tacomas are more than a similar equiped full size North American. And for the same price you will get a lot more creature comforts in a North American. Most full size pick ups with the larger engines are often cheaper to buy than the more economical operating engines.
Even the Toyota and Nissen models. The result of our $6.50 a gallon gas.
$6.50/gallon of gas is a bit misleading.
Here in Victoria B.C. gas is $1.30 CDN/litre (probably more $ in Vancouver). There are 3.785L to the US gallon (smaller than a Canadian Imperial gallon) so that is $4.92 Cdn. or about $4.42 US per US gallon.
1.30 range is a nice price to see. In Vancouver usually we are in the 1.40s. the max I remember paying was 1.62L just over 7.00 imperial gallon. ouch.
While our gallons are bigger there is sure no deal on fuel up here for us. And we produce it.
