Fischer Race Skis - Medium vs Stiff

Thread Starter

Looking to pick up a new pair of GS boards for hardpack days and I see that Fischer's WC GS is available in either a medium flex or stiff flex.  Is there that much of a difference between the two flex ratings?  I weigh 190-195 lbs and I'd likely buy something in the 188-193 range to replace my aging Nordica Doberman WC GSR 191.

assuming that you are using these to free ski the mountain on, you should attempt to acquire the softest pair that you can find.

the ability to turn the newer 35 meter skis is tied into your ability to bend them. easier bend, easier turn ability. especially at lower GS speeds and when skiing in traffic. unencumbered at mach schnell either ski will work fine.

You would most likely be the happiest with a pair of their "Masters" race skis. These are the same construction as the other race skis, only with more side cut. And if you are not sure if you should get the medium or the stiff, you should be on the medium flex.
