Inspired by by this post....http://www.epicski.com/t/128851/how-do-you-find-ski-partners#post_1761232

And the what are you drinking thread....

So spill it (not literally). For those that carry a flask, what is in it?

For most of last year, it was Peach Street Bourbon, and my, was it lovely. http://redwhiteandbourbon.com/2013/04/14/peach-street-bourbon-review/

Pretty dear, though, and I have to admit that usually I don't fill my ski flask with $60 bourbon. Usually Jameson does the trick.

I don't always carry a flask, but when I do I fill it with Jack.

I stopped drinking in May as a way to help a friend who had to quit. I do miss the Jameson in me flask.

Maker's or JD in the flask on really cold days though I generally prefer just having a beer with lunch.  There is a fine threshold with drinking and skiing, the 1-2 beers/shots will give you some inspiration but over that and you may be inspired into some trees.

I find that beer with lunch makes the legs slow and the brain snoozy.

Jameson, Tullamore Dew, or Dewar's.  However, I just started a two-month weight-loss program and would like to cut out all alcohol for the time being.  I am hoping to be in tip-top shape for the ski season.

Almost without exception it's Woodford Reserve bourbon, Taos Lightning bourbon, or sometimes Aha Toro añejo tequila.

Edit: It occurred to me that I actually have a quiver of flasks.

Woodford is good stuff, one of my typical at home swills.

Right now I have two flasks going one has Eagle Rare Bourbon and the other contains The Mad Man's Ass -- a collaboration of brown spirits from bottles run too low to be worthy of shelf space.
