Actually, if we change the punctuation slightly, this could become another discussion on where to buy gear:

"How do you find ski, partners?"

Since it's 'ski' singular it could also be a discussion of how you find that @#$% ski that came off in deep powder.

So you're saying to your partners, "how you gonna find my ski?", while I wait here below, kind of thing?

Yes but in kind of a 'my face is frozen and I don't speak English that well' kind of way.

I am socially a bit shy and don't know a lot of people that ski. Of those that do, most ski at other mountains. Of the few that ski at the mountain I ski on, they are way better than me and it's just a gift if I am invited to ski with them.

But, I need to find some ski partners this year because my skiing has grown to the point I'm ready to go off-piste and it is much safer to ski with a partner than by yourself.

How did you go about finding your ski partners, and would you have any suggestions for me?

You are at Crystal correct? I would look for ski partners at the local watering hole, The Snorting Elk. Love that place, not quite the Chammy at Squaw, but a quality mountain bar, never the less. I met a lot of my ski buddies, just by being on the mountain day after day.

As for ski partners, I start the day skiing alone a lot, but usually run into someone I know on the mountain and go from there. Cell phones have made it easy to hook up with friends on the hill as a quick text blast as to what or where I'm skiing usually does the trick, the old chalk boards left something to be desired.

Post 76, above -- perhaps less "the Personals" than Personal.  (Not that I mind -- more power to Lu-u-v, I say.)
