Head Rev 85 Pro - PRD system bindings

Hey all - Just added these skis to my quiver. I have never had system bindings yet they look like something I could mount up with out a shop?? True or False?

Can you mount yourself? Yes. Should you? Probably not. It is not the mounting that is the hard part with this binding, it is the testing to make sure that the settings are resting properly.

Thanks Phil. Good to know I can but probably won't! Don't want my ass coming out unexpectedly.

The Head PRD binding abbreviation means it's the Head Power Rail system. Your skis should come with the Power Rail plate attached to the ski, and, the front and rear pieces of the binding attach to the plate without being screwed down. The toes and heels can be easily removed and adjusted for other boot sizes, or, to move the fore-aft binding position. You are right that you can easily mount the bondings on the plate, but, as Philpug states, do get them release-checked with your boots in the skis.
