Binding Suggestion for Wifes Nordica La Nina

Need to get some binding for my wifes new boards.  She is 5'7 and 140 - Intermediate skier.  Thanks in advance!

whatever is on sale with her DIN roughly in the middle of the range. No need for expensive stuff like look pivots etc.

I have Marker Griffons on my Helle's belles. I am similar height and weight of your wife. They work great.

It'd be hard to go wrong with STH 2s... The aforementioned Griffons would not be bad either...

I hate my Griffons. They creak. I'll take them in, they make an adjustment and the noise is back in a week. Something to do with either the fact that there is so much plastic or the toe height adjustment. The snow here is quiet and there will be a creaking sound with every turn. None of my other bindings do this. I ran into another guy on the mountain whose Griffons do the same thing, same model year.

Look Pivot 12's  will be $249.00, just $20.00 more than the previously mentioned Salomon Sth2 13's and Marker Griffons. Binding choice at this level comes down to confidence, Personally, I have confidence in Pivots for their elasticity and very low swing/rotation weight. I know that i don't have to run them at a high DIN just to hold me in and risk not coming out in a slow twisting fall. All bindings with a 12-13 DIN are not created equal.

Thanks all. I have Griffons and Pivots - no problems with either - but like pivots better. Never had the STH's. Anyone know anything about the Tyrolia AAAtack 13's? Local shop recommended them to me last year - but bought pivots instead. I noticed they are a bit cheaper.

The new Attack 13 is a great binding, light weight and very consistent in release.

Me and my wife use STH / STH2 and they never failed on me or her! I like solly and will probably keep buying them!

I would vote to STH2 over Look Pivot (Please don't throw rotten tomatoes) just because it is harder to step into Look in powder vs. STH (La Nia is powder ski, isn't it?).

No doubt the Pivots are great. Would not argue against them... There are, however, two arguments in favor of at least considering the STH for a whole lot of people. First, the Pivot is a bit of an art to adjust. If a shop/tech does a ton of them, great. If not, they seem to hand 'em back adjusted just based on the tabs - a 50/50 proposition at best. The second thing I have noticed is that if you end up getting different boots or swap skis for any reason, the Pivots have a limited adjustment range  (and then need that same artistic touch afterward).

I have found the STH2s to be a nice reliable binding. Easy step in. Reliable release. Pretty light. For me, it is close to a tossup these days - but I find myself tending toward the Salomons more and more. All that said - I have no hesitation clicking into appropriate Salomon STH, Look Pivot, or Marker Royal family bindings...

Have AAAtack 13s on two pairs of skis. Work great; light, low, no pre-release issues. Got a pair from Start Haus sale at end of season. Kudos to Jim and Phil for staying late to hook me up, too.

Thanks! Heard good things from others as well. Probably go Attack 13 or STH. See what the wife wants.

I have STH2's on most of my skis but have a pair of Attack 13's in my garage to put on my next skis.  I really like how they felt on some skis I borrowed.  Super light and strong.

Thanks.  I think I am leaning toward the Attack 13's (115) for her on her La Nina's.
