Since several poster have mentioned the cafeteria at Whitewater B..C. here is some further info:
Ski Canada Magazine once awarded Whitewater the best cafeteria food in Canada.
The ski shop at WW sells "The Whitewater Cookbook" editions 1 and 2.
The previous co-owner and author of the cookbooks based it all on the food that she served as the owner of a catering company that specialized in on the set catering for Vancouver's fairy extensive movie and TV industry. Apparently there are some Hollywood Stars that are crazy for her brownies that have sour cream as an ingredient.
People from nearby Nelson B.C. have been known to drive the 20 minutes to WW, not to ski but to have lunch.
At Mammoth, a couple of days prior to last season's Gathering, agreen and I skied together for the day and at lunch he introduced me to the beef brisket sandwich at The Mill (I think) and it was tender, tasty and terrific.
At Jackson Hole, The Headwall Cafe at the top of the gondola serves a half soup/half deli sandwich for around $12 that is fantastic. There is a choice of 3 different sandwiches and 3 different salads and large portions.
