Got the winter stuff out tonight and wondered....

Should a 4 year old wear mittens to ski?  Or does she have to wear gloves with fingers?

Why would she have to wear gloves with fingers? Mittens keep her warmer. I wear mittens.

Much easier to get mittens onto the hands of a 4yo.  Does she care?  My daughter much preferred gloves at that age.  But she was skiing in Virginia, so it wasn't usually all that cold.  I think she liked gloves better for playing in the snow.  I always had a second pair handy when the first pair was wet.

Little beginners do not ski with poles . . . or have to deal with a cell phone.  So no need for gloves for better grip. ;)

My kids wear mittens.  My wife wears mittens.  I wear mittens.

Just make sure to strap/clip them to the jacket.
