That's not your video, is it?

Two vids of one of my favorite lines at Wolf Creek. Nothing terribly difficult, but very much a roller-coaster vibe, and always deserted. Both of these videos are several days post-storm.

The last video I made was from Portillo last year. Didn't make any in 2014, due to a broken leg, sadly.

That was down in your neck of the woods, right?  Definitely a cringeworthy video.

That was in Santa Fe a year or two back.  He fell onto rocks and ice.

My all time fav wipeout vid. (not me)

One of the things that strikes me about that video is the guy says nothing over the ~8 seconds he is airborne and helpless. Too scared to "Oh SHIT!" even.

Speaking of shit-eating, this is a vid I put together a few months ago of all of my wipeouts (and one of my wife that was just too good to leave off). Obviously, it was for a contest to win some skis.

While putting it together, I discovered I have 3 stages of reaction to falls.

Didn't hurt, no big deal- involuntary "WOO!"

Fell in stupid way or in pain in the ass spot- sigh and shake my head in disgust.

Fall that involves serious pain- groaning in pain. The clip of me dropping into Exhibition Bowl on October 19 (~20" of unconsolidated snow over bare rock/scree) on the orange Atomic is the most painful fall I've had in years.

Not bad, but:

Social media reminded me of this classic today.

This is rather lengthy (13min) shot by my friend Chris on 2 separate days late last season.  If that is to long, the best snow is from about 7:30 on.  Mostly dust on crust conditions but some good snow the longer & further we hiked...

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks,

JF
