Dalbello Panterra 120 able to accept a shim in sole?

Hi guys,

I've been looking at a few boots to obtain some walkmode as well as downhill performance.

In looking at Dalbello's Panterra 120, does it look like there's any way to get some cant shims(1.5deg) into its sole..? (right boot).  My left boot just needs flat 3mm shims..to account for length discrepency....?

thanks....

can't comment on the 120 but the 100 has a  replaceable sole unit which is not a flat interface (ie it has contour which prevents you putting an intra boot cant wedge into it)  i really wish boot manufacturers would all use a flat interface then it would make this so much simpler...BUT as with many things the marketing department gets in the way and want a pretty curved line on the join to make it look cool!

Yeah...understood Colin:nono:   Think if a boot like that will be THE boot that works the best...I'll try to find and attach a thin rubberized-grip layer simply onto the bottom of every DIN sole piece with whatever waterproof epoxy is strongest and have reputable bootguys over in VT measure the lug slicing.

I sell the Panterra but am in summer mode and can't remember the sole.  But if it is removable, and I think it is having and cutting done to the bottom is difficult if not impossible to do reliably.  Either the screws are in the way or there isn't enough thickness in the upper lug to permit it to be cut parallel the lower.

I hear ya' Lou....

EDIT:  I know of one shop that usually carries Dalbello.  Maybe I can, at least, take a look at one, in hand...to judge.  Other boots are offering better setups though...
