Don't worry about it too much -- there's going to be traffic no matter when you go if your choices are Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Can you check the traffic / weather when you land and decide then? The CDOT mobile app is quite good, as is the @ColoradoDOT twitter account. But yeah, I'd say just expect an extra hour-ish and take it slow. No big deal really.
Yep, that's all. You are landing on the western edge of a major metro area on a Friday afternoon. You are going to drive straight across that metro area during rush hour and into a recreational corridor at the time people are heading up for the weekend. That is going to burn you some time.
The forecast isn't for heavy snow tomorrow afternoon, and I-70 in traffic won't be a big deal in the dark. If it happens to be dumping, then heading up may mean sitting in an extended closure. If you leave Denver at 4:00 am you would be fine, but if it were me, I'd pay the piper on the front end and get there.
