Taos Boot Doctors Fitting

Thread Starter

Hello All,

I am in the market for a new set of boots that won't kill my feet.  I live in Albuquerque and last year had my boots custom fitted at a local shop and am pretty sure they didn't know what they were doing (I think they actually hurt more after the adjustments.)  Being tired of skiing with cramped, cold and painful feet I want to get a set of good boots.

I am thinking of heading up to the Boot Doctors in Taos NM and wanted to get any input as to if I should wait until we get closer to the season to increase selection or maybe wait for a sale?  Also any reviews of the Boot Doctors in Taos?

Thanks in advance,

Derek

@taoscowboy, one of the fitters at Boot Doctors, is a Masterfit U instructor and is extremely knowledgeable.   I would go to him (or someone on his staff) in a heart beat.

Thanks Trekchick,

I found him the other day but it says he hasn't been on here since 2012.......

yeah, he's never been a prolific poster but he's a great fitter.

Charlie at the Boot Doctor (TSV) is one of my favorite guy there.

Go during ski season is usually best. TSV is really quiet this time of year with the exception of all the new construction this year.

I work Sundays at the boot doctors in the summertime. Call ahead to make sure I'm there as my bootfiiting tour begins soon.
