Weird message when embedding an image?

Thread Starter

I got this weird message when I was embedding an image.  I double checked the image address, which is fine.

@tylrwnzl I'm at the convention center right now.  I'll try this again when I get a better connection  and submit a bug report if you haven't already checked into this.

Browser - Safari Version 7.0.5 (9537.77.4)

Operating system  OSX 10.9.4

Evidently I can upload directly from my computer, but not from an image address.

That seemed to work. Can't quite read your error message. Where was the image actually residing?

What was the image address?

The image address was from a Facebook photo.

I'll try to embed again and see if it works...

Nope, got the error message again.

Now going to try it with Mozilla Firefox 24.0

No error code and no problem posting from firefox.  with image address https://scontent-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/t31.0-8/10275463_10152572779916138_8109122195535770039_o.jpg

Mine was from a Facebook photo as well. chrome for Android. So, sounds like a Mac issue. I thought Macs didn't have issues..

The address in the error message is oddly formatted. Periods in the middle of it, double slashes at the end. Might be some anomaly due to the move and Safari is fussier? It looks like the forum software is trying to store the image somewhere that Safari objects to?

Sib, I was working on some other stuff in Safari that wouldn't work so I switched over to Mozilla Firefox, a couple months ago.

The engineers at Huddler said that Safari isn't always easy to work out for bugs.

Sorry didn't post here yesterday after the fact;I sent the info to Huddler. I'm guessing a Safari bug, but we will see.

That's my assumption.  I would have pulled a ticket but I thought you may already have an answer.  I'll use alternate methods of posting pics until its fixed.

Thanks
