2004 S Class Benz for 14,800

It was 80 grand 10 years ago. I get a kick out of these things.  No big deal on maintenance if you have the time to DIY.

A large number of very impressive cars for under $30k.

I particularly liked the 1966 Cutlass convertible for under 20k and there was a custom supercharged 2000 Corvette for I think under 15K. wow.

I'm considering this one, and some others now on eBay.  This is an AWD (4Matic) 2006 S430 with 139Kmi for 9900.  The miles do not concern me at all.

Looks like a ski machine to me.  Its a long hiway drive from where I live to the hills, might as well enjoy it.

2006 Mercedes-Benz S430 4MATIC in Carlstadt, New Jersey

edit...

and this 2004 E500 4matic waggy. Same miles, same money.

2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 5.0L WAGON in Paterson, New Jersey

Yeah...I'm kinda liking the wagon.

Wagon=no need for gas mileage stealing ski box. No box=better handling.

 Great points, Dano.

Plus the E looks better and still a pretty good size vehicle for those long trips to ski country.

Even Arapahoe Basin is acknowledging the toys we play with in the off season.

Our guests have some pretty sweet toys in addition to their winter ski and board gear!

Matt Lekawa stopped by on his drive through the mountains in his 1972 Chevy Camaro (with a fuel injected LT1 350 motor and a 6 speed manual transmission - he said it's "pretty fast," which may be an understatement :)). He swung by the Basin because it's his favorite ski area, and shared this photo with us. Thanks, Matt! What toys are you driving around this summer?

If you're up here on a Saturday or Sunday in August, swing by, say hi, grab some lunch at 6th Alley and take a hike around. And, if you can't swing by this summer, well, winter is right around the corner...
