Buying Skis Sight Unseen - Page 5

Go to The Clymb on line.  They are selling last year's Icelantics for under $300, which are identical to this year's models except for the top sheets.  For your size I would highly recommend the Keepers (119mm waist).  I'm 220 lbs and love them for any kind of deep snow.  Very easy turning for big skis.  The Gypsies are also good, but more powder specific.  They also have several other models and brands at very good prices.

Do you have a link? I don't see any Icelantics on The Clymb, and nothing that cheap. More for my curiousity, since I'm already committed to the Sick Days.

You are correct, they had a bunch two days ago, but the Icelantics are all gone.  I guess they moved pretty fast at 70% off.  Sorry!

There are still some at SIerra Trading Post, though. Listed for $500ish but there are always 35% off sales. (today's coupon is EBF73342)

STP used to be the place where you bought (lamer) old model skis for ridiculously cheap prices.

Thanks for showing me that STP has real skis for a great price although you would need to pay me $379 to ride those Titan Zeus monsters :rotflmao:

They have Kästles as well, usually in off sizes, but until about last week they had MX83s (with bindings) in a 173, and on the 45% off days, they were less than $600. Not too shabby.
