Looking forward to new boots

Thread Starter
I am getting back into skiing after a 10 year hiatus. I read about the Vacumms and that sounds like quite the advancement.
I have a wide forefoot 111 mm. Narrow heel, low volume foot. What can I look forward to for a ski boot fitting experience? Is pain in my future? Is there anything that I should absolutely look for?

the most important thing to look for is-----A boot fitter :)----not a boot seller :o----read the article below to have some ammo in your gun before you drop the hammer.  pay attention to how to "Shell Fit" a boot to find the correct one to fit your feet.

I will without a doubt get a local bootfitter. I have read some of the info on boot fitting. My concern in reading that and threads is that I am too wide in the forefoot for comfort.

Any boot fitter worth his salt can stretch a boot to fit around your foot width.  if the person you use won't stretch a boot then he is a boot seller---and you should call into question his abilities as a boot fitter.

good luck
