I just got a 2000 a few weeks ago. I really like it, but it needs more power.
Then I got thinking about my plan to upgrade my daily driver to a new WRX or something. For the same money, I could downgrade to a Pontiac Vibe and upgrade to an S2000 or maybe even a Z3.
I have too many choices. It just confuses me.
You don't need more power....You need to "add lightness" like the Super 7 below. 1300lb of goodness.
Not me in the photo, unfortunately.
This is from the website for Super 7 Cars, Inc., located in Chemainus, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island.
I see the 300hp option has disappeared from the website, but you can probably get whatever you're willing to pay for. All cars by this company are hand-built to order. Spare tire and paint are extra.
Street legal in Canada. Really.
It makes a Miata look like an overweight luxury sedan. No roll-up windows on this one. A/C?? You've got to be kidding!
A 2,000 mile road trip in this thing would require commitment. And no luggage. But for the Selkirk loop, it doesn't get any better.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
Congratulations on the Miata, Phil. I should be so lucky.
When I was in Philly, there was a guy who flew to Washington State for one of these and drove it home. No way.
