I've never been to Jackson Hole but will be there this February with my ski club. They're only staying for a week, but a couple of us have arranged to extend our stay for another week. We're not locked into the lodging at JH for that week however, and are wondering if it may be worth taking a side trip up to Big Sky/Moonlight Basin.
I know JH is a big place with lots of terrain options, and suspect that the answer is that two weeks there is not nearly enough. On the other hand, I only got to ski for a week at Big Sky, and only a day at Moonlight. The combination of terrain and conditions (a very substantial base, beautiful clear days with temps in the mid-20's and evening snow 5 nights, leaving a nice powder topping for the start of the next day) combined to make that trip one of the best ski vacations ever. I've always wanted to get back and find out if that was a one-of-kind experience.
I know that this is an enviable "problem" to have and I'm sure that I'd love two weeks at JH. We're heading into the dog days of summer and my mind is already wandering ahead to the white months, so I figured I'd see what others think.
