Do you guys have to pay the US duties+brokerage fee for UPS? I am interested in buying something from I hate the brokerage fee..

Say again?

What does this have to do with Elvis?

What "guys" are you asking? Plainly if we live in the US and are buying in the US, we are not paying brokerage fees. However, those fees may be built into the price of skis imported from outside the US. And UPS only comes into it if we buy online. Now if we live in Europe and are buying from a place in the states, this whole issue may come up, but I'm wondering how moving skis from Germany to the US and back to France is going to make economic sense.

Maybe it makes sense if you're Elvis and in hiding somewhere in Europe.

A little googling finds that there is an ebay store elvistheskiman, that's been mentioned on epic as well.

I assume the OP is out of the US.  Second language and all.

OP appears to have sold skis and other stuff here in gear swap  a lot so I don't get why they wouldn't know the answer to their own question.

like the old school ski belt on the photo, haven't seen one of those for a long time. Usually you would find them floating some distance away after a high speed tumble.

My sister loved the belt.

I purchased some skis from Canada and the UPS brokerage fee/duty was over 10%. Use regular post if possible.

If I buy online from a US merchant and the item is manufactured in N. America I pay no duty (free trade) and haven't been hit with a brokerage fee. The only time I got hit with a brokerage fee was on a wintersteiger item that required duty paid. It was tedious and added a few dollars but still under cost of what I could get locally.

Opps... I must have pressed the submit by accident.. should never drink and browse.... I apologize for my cryptic post.

I usually have item shipped to either my home or close to US border, since I am 15 mins away from it. Seller told me about that the duty and tax would be > 14% , which I wanted to confirm.

Thanks a lot for the help guys :)
