Hanging skis from their bindings

Thread Starter

I'm desperate for floor space in my garage and recently installed the Gladiator Garageworks system.

I'd love to get my skis and snowboards up off the floor and onto it as well.  Problem is, if I hang them from their tips then they hang all the way down almost to floor level anyway.  If I hang them horizontally then they take up too much space.

If I hang them vertically from their bindings then I'm left with lots of space underneath to store other stuff on the floor.  However, I'm wondering if this is bad for the skis and if any issues could arise from it.

Here are pics of what I'm talking about:

Looks good as long as you aren't squishing them together in the middle killing the camber.  I hang mine that way from the tips with a strap holding the tails together..  Note the gaps in the middle preserving the camber.
