Ooh, Specialized is going to have a hard time living this down.
Looks like an updated version of the story points to the broken bike probably not being the one Contador was riding. Any definitive and believable evidence out there? It seems like there would be too many cameras out there for Specialized to be able to hide the truth if Contador's frame failed.
The unspoken story behind the story here is that we have the rider people love to hate riding a frame made by the brand people love to hate. If were talking about Tejay on a BMC frame there would not be the same alluring whiff of scandal about the whole thing and we would just dismiss it as one of those unfortunate things that happens from time to time.
