Marker n03 11 bindings HELP

Bought a 2cd hand pair of skis on New Zealand's version of ebay (TradeMe)  Dobermann Spitfire 178s more of a carver than the Salomon X Scream 195s I have been running on. The one downside is the Markers are on an "exi" mount/plate that sits into the concave grooves on the Dobermanns I would like to although I may not need to swap the bindings over to something with a higher DIN??? Do I have to stay with Marker and if so what other Marker bindings are compatible?? OR can I remove the exi mount and put a race plate  or Head/Tyrolia railflex plate and compatible binding on??? a couple of photos included Yes and I know hindsight is better than foresight!!! and if I had to do it again I might have purchased a different ski/binding

I had the N 03-11 bindings on a pair of Nordica Afterburners.  I skied on them a lot but the bindings had a nasty tendency to pre-release in really bad spots.  I took the whole assembly off and the skis were flat under the bindings...so I mounted a pair of Look/Rossi/Dynastar Pivots (shorter mounting footprint) and everything worked fine.  I was planning to put Marker Barons on them, but the back plate extended into the unflat area of the ski.  Unfortunately, after skiing them for a couple of runs in January I realized that the skis were pretty much used up and now they are in the pile to go to the dump.  As your pics show, Nordica used Torx screws to mount these...if you have the appropriate bits or hand drivers, they should come off quite easily.

Sounds very similar to my set up so thanks very much in advance and I will try to source some Look's or Rossi's While doing some research saw some threads on the prerelease of the Marker and that as well as the low (for me DIN) had me looking at other options. Given what you saw when you took yours off do you know if the head/tyrolia railflex plates would mount over the flat portions?? If yes it would give me the option of shifting the newer bindings onto my backup skis the old Salomon X Screams????.................And while all the young guys out there are laughing to themselves saying " what's this old fossil doing messing around with this old stuff for Just go out and buy new or newer Problem Solved"  I will expand my short "Money too tight to mention..."   Advice to young single guys to . . . .    "1.  Don't Get Married   2. Don't Get a Mortgage  3.  Don't Have Kids   4.  Don't Have Granddchildren " ......... FORTUNATELY I have broken every one of my pieces of my advice!!!! and 2 1/2years ago became the PROUD grandfather of twin granddaughters UNFORTUNATELY............... Now have to become the great master of making do.........!!

Thanks again bjohansson  one for the reply and secondly the fact it was your off season!! I owe you two!:beercheer:
