New Patron has a small problem???

Hi, I just bought a new pair of Nordica Patron's and couldn't help noticing this small dent thing on the surface of one of the skis. Is this normal? I'm 18 and am not too familiar with the purchasing of ski equipment. Thanks!

Also this was my first post, did I do okay?

Just a little cosmetic blemish..nothing to to worried about. Will not effect performance or durability.

But if I paid list price, I wouldn't be happy. On the other hand, I also wouldn't be sure if I'd done it somehow. Looks like something that could happen on your first chair ride, though, so get ready for your new babies to look much worse pretty soon.

^^^this! would you be happy paying list price on a scratched bike? or car?

Unless it was said the skis had cosmetic blemishes or damages I would ask for some credit back or just send them back since the skis arrived damaged!

Otherwise I'd just have bought from starthaus for a fraction of the price and I'd be happy with blems ;-)

If the OP posted this in Sept-Jan, I would be more concerned but I can't imagine that he paid much more than 40% off of MAP. This not damage but a blemish in construction and will still be fully warrantied. Not the dealers fault but manufacturing.  What is the time and effort worth to send them back?

Yes I paid exactly 300 for these skis on start haus and am not at all concerned about blemishes, as long as it won't affect my skiing I'm one happy dude!
My question came because it honestly looks and feels almost intentional, the rest of the skis are flawless. I'm very excited to give these bad boys a go.
Thanks a bunch for answering my question!!!

So one buys a blem ski, finds the blem, then wonders if it's a blem...    :beercheer:

Man, that puppy looks like a bullet hit it!:D

Fun  to comment on, but odds are it's so even it might even keep its shape for years.

(Epoxy, or Liquid metal from an auto body repair supply store, would probably fill it, but why bother unless it spreads.)

At least he knows what he doesn't know.  He doesn't know if it's a non-serious cosmetic only blemish or something more severe.

I wouldn't worry about that dent.  My skis have had far worse, and survived years of subsequent abuse.

So basically philpug is the guy who sold you those skis. They were advertised as blems. You are fine. Put them away and enjoy when it snows.
