If you have a young skier who likes to read please contact me about getting this book for review.

Little Rippers

I have a total of 3 copies for review.

First come first serve.

By Rebecca Munsterer

Here come the Little Rippers!

Brother and sister, Max and Molly Beckett, are looking forward to their annual ski weekend with their grandfather at Powderhound Mountain.  But when they arrive, grandpa tells the kids that he signed them up for the Little Rippers ski group.

Max and Molly are worried about keeping up with the other Little Rippers.  Wyatt is a waterskier from Florida, Jenna is a well traveled skier from Colorado, and Chase is a know it all local.  the group leader, Heidi, does her best to keep the kids together, but after taking a wrong turn on the slope, the Little Rippers find themselves on a mysterious adventure.

Will the Littler Rippers return safely to Powderhound Mountain?  And will they be able to enter the Sunday Funday ski race?

Join the fun as the Little Rippers find out the meaning of friendship both on and off the slopes.

My son is 8 and might be in the right age range. I'll take one if you still have one.

My 4 year old is already asking me when we can go skiing again!  He'd love this book, and I'd be very happy to write a review.

Bummer, I just missed it :(

I may just pick up Little Rippers anyway, as it has great reviews on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/The-Little-Rippers-Volume-Here/dp/0615846467/

A few other ski book tips for parents....

Our toddlers love the Fraser the Yellow Dog ski themed books:

And, you are failing as a ski parents if you don't have a copy of this Dr. Seuss classic:

Any other childhood brainwashing suggestions?  ;)

What age range (or grade level) is this book intended for? I might have to pick it up for my 10 year old nephew.

I'm not very good about guessing these things but I'd imagine that this book is good for someone around 8 or so.

We have enjoyed reading it together. 8 year old and myself. I am not an expert, but the book is written from a story line for probably 6-10 year olds, but I do not believe it was written using words approved for specific levels. Some of the words are difficult for a young reader to attack. It also doesn't repeat words which is typical of books in the 2-4 range. Looking forward to finishing it.
