Went for a hike today. But didn't bring my skis. Hiked from Brighton parking lot up through Dog Lake, Lake Mary, Lake Martha and Lake Catherine.
Looking back on Lake Martha and lake Mary
When I got to Lake Catherine I knew I made a mistake by not bringing my skis.
Found some very nice skiable stuff from the top.
Slope just on the Alta side of the ridge.
Another one between Catherine's Pass and Sunset Peak
But a solution came to my crazy, feeble mind.
I happened to pack my shovel with me.
Why ski when you can ride a shovel? I picked a slightly milder slope
Off I went.
Looking back at my initial tracks.
Looking back at the lower part of my "run"
And looking back at the whole "run"
All in all, a great day and a great "run". Maybe we should add a forum for Epic Shovel Riders!
