Thanks for including me on the easier ride on Tuesday. I did end up replacing my rear tube the next morning as it was not holding air. During the ride I broke Presta valve stem (about in half) and was saved by others in the group who had tools, tube and pump to get me going again. Running too little air does not work well on my 26 X 2.10 tires.
I rode Monday at Kirkwood on my way to So. Tahoe. The lifts only run Sat/Sun through this weekend so I parked by Kirkwood Inn and rode. I got to top of Lift 1, which along with Lift 5, I managed to avoid all last ski season as they are too flat, slow and prone to stopping. I also rode the Middle Corral Trail that loops below Thunder Saddle. This is looking down Chair 1 to Pyramid Peak.
Monday late afternoon it hailed so much a couple of miles from Stateline (South Lake Tahoe) that I heard it piled up 3-4" deep. On Tuesday there still was white on the ground visible on the middle level of Heavenly CA side into the afternoon. This picture was Jeep that had driven though hailstorm and was parked in Stateline.
On Wed, I relocated to a couple of miles N of Truckee where a friend who lives there and I rode from Tahoe Donner Cross Country Center into Euer Valley and then down Alder Creek where we'd left another vehicle as my friend was trying to limit his climbing since he is still recovering from a cold. Creek in Euer Valley
My friend about to cross Alder Creek a couple of miles from his home. There are a couple of bridges over this creek that are challenging to ride.
