I've just picked up some Fischer Progressor 8+'s 165cm second hand. The previous owner couldn't tell me much about them at all, claimed they didn't use them much. That i'm not sure of.
The condition looks okayish, but it looks like the base might be a bit dry, but given this my first non rental pair of skis its hard to know.
I want to sharpen the edges, as theres a few rough parts to it and i want to get the most out of these.
However i don't know what angle these are set to. From looking down the side, it looks like these have been sharpened before, as one would expect. I can see a bit towards the tail of the ski where the fine angled lines on the edge stop, and become straight.
I cannot find the specific specs to these skis, but it seems fischer uses 1 degree base 3 degree side for all their skis from what i've read.
I'm concerned that these may have been tuned differently to this.
Is there a way to find out the side edge angle without buying every bevel angle (or a multi angle one) and testing it on each?
I've tried to take a bunch of photos to show their condition, as you can see here. Apologies for the not so great shots, hard to get the camera to focus. All full res so you should be able to zoom in if needed. Although that of course doesn't help with determining the angle, im interested in general comments.
