That is what my wife said in disgust while we were in the middle of discussion about our "fiscal family year".
Kids school - check.
Mortgages - check.
Vehicles - check.
Vacations - check.
Entertainment - check.
Savings - check.
Wine - check.
Skiing - check... not so fast - she says "WTF"!!!
BTW, we eat also and like our house cool in the summer and warm in the winter (Chicago). Kids go to ( but do not care about ) ballet, music, gymnastics etc. - whatever neighbor's kids do.
Now that our kids are slowly getting into skiing I brought to her attention that they would need new/used set of skis, gloves, boots, helmets, tickets and ...
Plus, I am not ready to give up my annual Euro (ski) trip.
Hell broke loose and I decided to ask EpicSki community - how much do you spend annually for your ski addiction ?
Your answer does not have to include numbers, percentages of annual income or anything of that sort but any metrics would be appreciated.
My suggested budget is around $8000 - assuming I would ski 15-20 days(10-15 days mountain slaying), 2 kids 5-10 days each and wife has few days of spa treatment and lessons as she pleases.
Better part says $4000. That's not enough for Wisconsin/Michigan camel bump !
Air fares are non-issue since we can fly on miles since we spend a lot of money for work on the CC and travel for work internationally.
I know - sky is the limit, but for most of us sky hovers at different heights.
So, I want to hear your thoughts.
