I didn't feel the need to go back up for another run.  Don't mess around, be ready for first (ish) chair and give 'er.

That said, a ho-hum day of skiing beats anything else I can think of... :beercheer:

And I wasn't invited???

I'd personally head over to Vail for the afternoon and early evening. Should be gorgeous for warm afternoon, plenty of nice walks from the village, and probably not a total ghost town for just sitting out for some après.

What a "NaySayer".  Independence Pass is open. Boreas Pass is open. Trail Ridge Road is open. The road to Pikes Peak summit has been open since March. The road to Mount Evans summit is open.  Jeez.

I would have had to decline, anyway, so ... there is that. I guess he knew.

Hopefully when I get back, there will still be snow from the bottom to the top...

Ah, way to easy on him Mrs B!

They were harvesting snow the whole time we were there, so maybe you'll have snow. However, you REALLY did NOT miss anything!

Even terrible snow by your standards will probably be worth it to me. After taking a day off work & jumping on a plane, as long as it's not bare ground, I'm going to get my money's worth! :)

Plus, I've been tuning the h3ll out of my skis this week. I've got a bunch of coats of Hertel Spring wax on them with a a bunch of passes with the roto brushes. Hopefully it pays off!

Well, yes, it was perfect weather!

macvangelist,

I am sure you will have a great time! Add a nice deep coarse structure to your list of tuning efforts smile.gif

+1 for this. I used a brash brush first to define the structure as much as possible, followed by horse hair and nylon brushes. Hopefully it's sufficient. I'm pretty new to roto brushes.

I made it from Abasin to Aspen last Friday in 2 hours, but I tend to drive on the aggressive side.  It poured all the way to Leadville and the sun broke out just as I made it to Twin Lakes.

The view over Twin Lakes up Independence is one of my favorites in Colorado.

I made it over just in time to enjoy a little alfresco dinning in town.
