Positioning question [for boots/binding on race skis, UK]

Thread Starter

I'm getting a new pair of boots with shorter BSL...1 cm shorter than my old boots. For all my race skis with fixed toe bindings, the center of the new boot will be about .5 cm forward from the boot centers of the skis if my math is right.

What would be the consequences, pros and cons, if any? Thanks! :)

So, you went from like 297mm to 296mm? That's a mm shorter. Or from 297 to 287? Huge difference there. And this is the Boot Sole Length you're talking about or the mondopoint size? Mondo would be from like 25.0 to 26.0. For the binding, you care about the former sizing, your foot cares about the latter.
