I just watched this TEDx titled Why every small town has a bar, and it made me think a bit more about why EpicSki has gatherings.
My dad used to go to a local coffee shop for breakfast every morning. It was a typical small town coffee shop with a big table where all the 'locals' gathered for breakfast and lingering coffee time every day. I worked at this coffee shop for 4 years while I was in high school, and I witnessed it all. Daily news, business deals, life, and death.
My dad is retired now, but he still goes there every day and gains his daily small town stoke.
This is why we have EpicSki Gatherings.
We can talk on line and create discussions in this IT world, but we connect in a special way when we get together and share in our passion over a chairlift ride, or apres' ski beverage.
I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on this topic.
