Which Salomon binding is lighter ?
STH10 or Z10Ti W

Of all the things I might consider when looking at a new binding, weight would be tied with color (and that is saying something!) for last place .

Alpine touring would be the exception

Lighter is better in bumps too.

These are for the GF's skis, volkl kenja's. The price is close enough to call it the same price. So I need to know which one is lighter.

I have the Z12Ti on my kendo's and like the light weight of them. When I look on Salomons site its a little confusing, as it is when you look at Amazon's site for shipping weight.

for the sth10; Product Dimensions: 16 x 8 x 5 inches ; 6 pounds
Shipping Weight: 4.7 pounds

for the Z10TiW; Item Weight: 6 pounds
Shipping Weight: 6 pounds

No big hurry it's not like she's going to be using them anytime soon.

Just notice the Marker 10 is even lighter ; Shipping Weight: 4 pounds

But not happy with how hard it can be to step into the newer Markers. They are a few bucks cheaper.

I also want to go with a 100mm brake on the kenja's, I have a 90mm brake on my kendo's and its tight getting the moonflex past the brake levers.

Splitting hairs in ether weight but either way I wouldn't get them. The Z heel is notorious for cracking the heel tracks and braking especially when skis get over 80mm. Weight concern of a binding is overrated, a few more ounces in a better binding will be stronger laterally and will be more durable. Consider the Sth12 or the Tyrolia Attack 13, either of these are much better. Avoid the Squire, although it is light, the heel is a bear for a lighter skier with a short BSL to get into. Marker is coming out with a new $149 12 din binding for next season that looks like a good design.

The Z10 is marginally lighter but you're giving up some performance. Between those two, I'd put the Sth10 on it.

Edit: never mind, I see Phil already posted.
