I'm a far better skier now than when I joined this site thanks largely to the many people I've met and skied with from here.
Having said that, I find that on roughly one in every ten or twelve days skiing I can't buy a turn and my skiing truly does suck.
I remember a day at Copper with Treckchick and 20 or so other bears where I skied fantastic and then two days later in great snow at Targhee with Harkin Banks and Dookey67 I might as well have signed up for a level 4 lesson.
Another was at this past season's Utah Gathering on day two at Snowbasin. I had skied 5 days at JH and Aspen as well as Powder Mountain the day before and skied good to great. I get to Snowbasin and could barely remain upright.
I could offer several more examples, but I'm interested if others have had similar experiences? In my case I couldn't chalk it up to bad conditions or anything obvious. My body and mind just seemed to abandon me for a ski day.
