Early May at Mt Bachelor

Bachelor regularly delivers epic Spring skiing. This trip comprised one sunny day, and 5 where you'd never have guessed it was Spring. There was close to 2 feet of new snow during our stay, some pretty wet, some high quality mid winter pow. The skiing was pretty darn fine.

They stay open until Memorial weekend. There's still over a 100 inch base, so I think we'll have to head back for some more.

Yep, it is always amazing in May - we just got back yesterday!

We skied Bachelor May 9-11.  May 9 was gloppy snow bonding to a wet base where it had rained Thursday while we were traveling to Bend.  Saturday was a powder day on Outback and Northwest with still thick fog above tree line:

Sunday was clear and calm with Summit finally open, but unfortunately Northwest never opened due to an electrical problem:

I was there Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

I thought Sunday morning and Monday were pretty good, even though I was disappointed Northwest never opened.

Tuesday was quite a bit warmer and the snow got pretty sloppy. Wednesday was forecast to be warmer still so I headed home after quitting a little early Tuesday.

Hoping to get one more day at Snowbird on the 23rd (flying out of SLC to wedding back east on the 24th.)
