Doubling your Skiing Life

Okay.  Ski season is over (for me anyways) and I'm bored and already dreaming about next season.  So I'm sitting here in 85 degree weather in Alabama in early May and thinking to myself...I'm 52 years old and if I could somehow hibernate every summer/fall for the next 20 years in some deep sleep that would only age me at half the normal rate, then I could ski another 40 seasons or more.  (Forgive me, I'm a computer programmer).

If that choice was a reality and presented to you, would you take it?  In other words, would you agree to sleep the summer's and falls away to guarantee you'd live longer so you could be awake during the winter months and have more opportunities to ski?

As much as I love skiing and would be tempted, I still enjoy the summer activities too and wouldn't want to miss them.

Sounds perfect to me. But then I get migraines in the heat.

A simpler way to say the same thing is "Would you rather live in a climate where you could ski/board all year round or a place you can enjoy the seasons".

Which is why I'm in Montana... Of course, it's really hard to grow tomatoes here.

I like the second idea of a climate with year round, or close to it, skiing.

I don't like the hibernating idea though.

I already have new skis sitting here in my office (thanks Philpug) for next season, and can't wait, but not if it's at the expense of diving, snorkeling, Hobie catting, sailing, golfing etc.

Looks like I'll just have to find twice as long to live somehow.

Which is why we grow our tomatoes in the green room under grow lights:duck:

Good idea but I live on a sailboat in the Caribbean for 49 weeks of the year and ski for 3 and I am happy with the mix.

48 v 4 would work but my aged knees may say otherwise.

Live by a glacier (and/or commute to NZ) and year round skiing can be yours!
