Used Pricing Insanity??

So I've decided to build up a couple of sh**ters for city use..so the won't get ripped off hopefully.  So I'm flipping through Craigslist and Kijiji for some crappy old bikes that I can work some magic on.  I'd like to hear others' experience on pricing for old crap for sale online.  How'd the pricing look to you?  Cuz I'm thinking there's a lot more crack smoking going on in this city than just the mayor..

Asking is one thing. Getting is another. Best route is to use eBay to research "actually sold for" prices on comparables.

I'll check that out.  Seems like every piece of crap with rust is labelled "vintage" these days.  Unbelievable.  $300 for bikes you can get at a garage sale for $20.  They probably complain of online lowballers too...  :cool
