I'm looking for an all-mountain expert level ski for the East (ski at Mont Tremblant most weekends but also get to Le Massif, Whiteface and Stowe. I currently ski on a Salomon X-Wing Fury but find them too soft torsionally. They are ok in the trees and bumps but not great on ice. I skied an Atomic Redster this year and it was incredible on ice (may be tiring as an all-round ski though). I also skied a Volkl RTM 80 which was good for short turns but not great in bumps and high-speed cruising. I tried some of the wider Atomic and Salomon offerings and didn't like them at all (found them boring with no life to them). The thing I liked about the Redster was how it throw you out of the turn in to the next. I ski a lot of bumps and trees whenever available but need something torsionally stiff for eastern hard pack (otherwise known as ice). I do some high speed cruising as well so I am likely looking for something with an 80+ waist (found the Volkl a little narrow in the waist but am likely looking for something close to that size). I don't visit the park other than for jumps and seldom see any powder in the east. My ability level is expert and generally ski very aggressively in all conditions. Any help would be much appreciated as I'm having a tough time wading through all the makes/models out there. Thanks for your help.
