We're tossing around the idea to do a spring ski trip to France in 2015. I've never been to Europe and have not a clue where to go, where's the best place to fly into, ski, how to travel and/or lodging. So I thought to post here for advice, or if someone could share a good thread on the do's and don'ts ... I can benefit from either. Also, if someone has a good tip on a travel agency to arrange, I'm interested.
Just from the limited threads I've seen, Geneva looks to be a good spot to fly into ... from there it's fairly open. We've skied many, many times in SLC, Colorado, Montana, etc so while not experts,we have a good level of skill.
Please let us know your opinions on lodging, travel ... should we rent a car or take a train or bus? While we own our own gear, we can always rent skis, so we'll more than likely plan to rent. Do ones usually rent at the resort or other - where's a good place to rent?
We'll have a good sized group - 10 or so of us, so your advice and tips are appreciated.
